I am one half of the party responsible for the instruction of all things pertinent to being a successful, productive and independent human being. Be it reading, writing, arithmetic or life and its many mysteries, I have the privilege of teaching 8th grade at Newcastle Elementary School. My days are filled with lots of learning, laughter, hair pulling (my own, of course) and good dark chocolate.
After graduating with an English degree in 2003, I moved to Auburn and completed my credential and Masters degree in Education. My original intention to teach high school was thwarted when a job at Newcastle Elementary School opened up in 2005. And, I love it!
My education has continued as a United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Teacher Fellow and Holocaust Memorial Library Summer Seminar participant. Currently, I am also working in the area of Instructional Technology.
